Established in 1995 by the current Managing Director, Stewart Design (UK) Ltd offer a complete design and management service for those utilising natural dimensional stone in a construction project.
With our project draughtsmen, all of whom have a Stonemasonry background, and utilising AutoCAD together with Rhino 3D networked with the latest technology, we are able to offer a service tailored to meet specific project requirements.
Our in-house skills are based on practical as well as design backgrounds, enabling us to offer a complete service from the initial design concept, through the development of all details for the manufacture of stone in the masonry works, to the fixing of the stonework on site.
Our working process is that we develop the Architectural concept by looking at the stonework with regard to the production and fixing process, producing detail and elevational working drawings of all the stonemasonry elements and follow on from this to provide production information for Quarries and Stonemasonry Contractors in a traditional format by way of manufacturing schedules & templates or supplying solid models of stones for cad/cam proposes.
Operating from our offices in Oxfordshire, we have worked on a variety of projects nationwide and overseas, from stone cladding for large commercial premises in central London, to the stonework for large private residential property.
In past years we have carried out works for projects as far afield as Japan and America.
Companies we have recently worked with include Stone Connection (UK) Ltd based in Yorkshire, Wells cathedral Stonemasons in Somerset, PAYE Stonework and Restoration Limited in London and APS Masonry of Oxford.
